Jennifer is a first-year student at the United States International University Africa in Kenya pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Jennifer is a compassionate and independent individual with a strong sense of community. Due to financial constraints and her mother’s deteriorating health, Jennifer was unable to attend university after senior high school despite being academically eligible to study.
With her love for children and upon her mother’s recommendation, Jennifer assisted new mothers with their babies and assisted them in any way she could voluntarily. Whilst Jennifer assisted the new mothers, she underwent extensive self-learning in the field of child psychology and development. This experience helped Jennifer realize her calling to aid in childhood development through child psychology. Several years later, at the age of 29, Jennifer is finally on track to achieving her dreams as an Akua Kuenyehia Foundation beneficiary.
“The Akua Kuenyehia Foundation gave me hope again. For a long time, I never thought that I would be able to bring my dream of becoming a child psychologist to fruition until AKF came along.”
